How to Create a Resource Library in WordPress

As an affiliate marketer, one of your priorities should be to grow your list of email subscribers. As you've probably heard before, the money is in the list. In this article, I'm going to show you how to create a resource library in WordPress which will help you grow your email list fast.

One of the most popular and effective ways to grow your email marketing list fast is to offer your readers a freebie when they opt-in to your email list. This is also referred to as a "lead magnet."

A lead magnet is generally a digital download that is highly relevant to the content of your blog.

If you want to take things up a notch, you can create multiple lead magnets that correspond to individual blog post.

For example, let's say you blog about crocheting and you've written a blog post about how to make a crochet baby elephant. You could provide the complete pattern to your subscribers as an opt-in freebie.

Now here's where this can get tricky...

How do you deliver all of these lead magnets to your subscribers without creating a bunch of different emails lists and sending your lead magnet in your welcome email?

The answer to that is - create a resource library in WordPress where you house ALL of your lead magnets!

  • A email autoresponder (I use Aweber)

Tips to Remember

  • Always make sure your resource library is password protected
  • Make sure the first email you send out to your subscribers includes a link to the resource library and the password
  • Create a "page" not a "post" for your resource library
  • Make sure you link the image you place in your library to a downloadable PDF
